The Giving Conference and Concert
On Saturday, March 14th, 2026 our CAUSE ensemble met at the Irvine Onnuri Church for the Giving Conference and Concert. We had to get there early even though the event started at 4:00 PM. Getting there early was really important. It gave us time to practice and set up in the place. The church is huge. It was different from our usual practice rooms. We used the time to get used to how the sound works in a big room with high ceilings. We also made sure our instruments sounded good together.
Being there before the crowd helped us relax and focus on the performance. We played three pieces: "Canon Arirang," "Beethoven Virus," and "Aladdin." Each one had its special energy.
"Canon Arirang" is a mix of a traditional Korean song and a famous classical piece. It means a lot to us. Playing it in the church made it sound even more emotional. The audience really connected with it.
We also played "Beethoven Virus." It's a fun but hard piece that remixes a Beethoven sonata. It needs focus and teamwork. The fast notes filled the church. You could feel the energy rise. The crowd loved the rhythm.
The music from "Aladdin" brought a feeling to the room. Almost everyone knows those tunes. Playing a song that people love helps build a connection. We saw people smiling and swaying to the music.
The Giving Conference theme was about helping others. This made our performance feel more meaningful. Our CAUSE members think giving means sharing time and talents not money. Seeing faces reminded us why we practice hard. Our time at the Irvine Onnuri Church was wonderful. It reminded us how music can bring people together and make an impact.
