Community Outreach & Fundraising Event at Arirang Market
There is something so amazing about the way music can stop people. On a weekend, our orchestra stopped at Arirang Market to hold a fundraiser for a trip to Mexico in which we teach kids various things there. The market has always been a busy, chaotic entrance, but recently, it turned into a vibrant stage where members of the CAUSE Orchestra filled the air with rich sounds of violin and shared the passion of our community.
The orchestra settled in front of the entrance of the market for a special fundraising event. The live music completely shifted the mood of the atmosphere as many enjoyed the music, drawing smiles from face to face as they walked in and out. Many enjoyed the delicate music of the CAUSE members’ plays. People took time and interest in our organization through uplifting music that held people in their place and took time to seek what we were about. While the musicians kept the energy high, other members were ready to spread who we were with armed information and enthusiasm filling them up.
Others got to know more about CAUSE and got interested in it from our members’ hard work on posters and drawing. By the end of the day, we successfully raised a grand total of $512.95 in donations to further support our future needs. This event was a true effort in teamwork and required well-structured plans. Our members fulfilled the requirement of doing so, which resulted in massive success. Through the combination of live performance and confident community introduction, we were able to turn a simple afternoon into a triumph accomplishment. This worked out from our members' teamwork and guidance through interaction. The money we got raised would help the kids in Mexico.
Being able to share our knowledge and teach these children is a huge goal and wish for our orchestra. Seeing the community support and back us up financially makes the dream even real. It showed us that people really do care and support youth service groups and global community service. This experience has had our members even closer too. Standing outside for hours, talking to strangers, and playing our instruments in a busy environment required us to step out of our comfort zone. This needed dedication along with confidence.
We are incredibly grateful for the donations made through this event, and for the people who stopped by and had interest in our organization. Looking ahead, we hope to plan more community plans like this one. Not only did it help us reach our financial pathway, but it also allowed us to connect with people in a meaningful way. We look forward to taking the energy and support from the Arirang Market volunteering with us all the way to Mexico.
